Our company is seeking a seasoned and innovative Senior Manager to spearhead the development of external communications and PR strategies with a focus on crafting high-quality content for DIRECTV Insider. This role will be instrumental in driving discovery and consideration among new customers, while reinforcing the value proposition among current customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies that align with business objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create engaging content across various formats, including press releases, videos, blogs, social media posts, and more.
Write, edit, proof, and publish consumer-centric communications with a relentless focus on quality.
Lead content development and copywriting/messaging projects, ensuring alignment with company messaging and brand guidelines.
Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the pay-TV industry, specifically DIRECTV and its competitors.
Utilize SEO best practices to drive relevant traffic to our website.
Qualifications & Skills:
A seasoned writer and editor with 5+ years' experience in digital media, supported by a strong portfolio of high-quality work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with adaptability and discretion.
Demonstrated ability to create compelling content in various styles and formats, with a focus on storytelling and departmental activities.
Strong project management skills, including independent work and multiple ongoing projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced working knowledge of Word.
Experience with SEO tools and performance data analysis preferred.
This role requires approximately 25% travel and can be located anywhere in the United States as it's a remote position.
