Little Words Project
Little Words Project is looking for a Product Design Intern to support our design team in creating and developing new accessories and products that align with our mission and brand aesthetic. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to contribute to product design from concept through execution, collaborating closely with the design and production teams.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation of mood boards, sketches, technical specifications, and product mock-ups to visually communicate design concepts to the team. Research and source materials, trims, and components for new products, ensuring they align with the brand's quality standards and aesthetic. Contribute to the design and presentation of product packaging, hangtags, and labels, ensuring consistency with the brand identity. Analyze competitor products and current design trends to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Participate in design reviews, providing feedback and offering creative solutions to enhance product features, functionality, and aesthetics. Support the organization of design files, maintain design archives, and manage samples and prototypes for internal review and approval. Qualifications:
Must be a 3rd or 4th-year college student majoring in design, product design, or fashion design. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software. Strong attention to detail with an understanding of both aesthetic design and functionality. Ability to clearly articulate design ideas through sketches, mood boards, and presentations. High degree of professionalism, including confidentiality and a collaborative work ethic. Ability to work in-office from our Mountainside, NJ location 3-4 days per week.
