Reporting to an Associate Creative Director, Performance Creative, you will incorporate motion design into a variety of projects, including commercial repurposing to simple editing, to text animation and storyboards, to complex 2D animation and illustration. You will create graphic templates and will provide graphic support for editors (lower thirds, logo intros, etc.) You will partner with Art Directors and Copywriters to maintain the design intent and creative integrity throughout the motion design process. From creative strategy and concepting for the motion, to approval and execution, you will have a hand in shaping and delivering inspiring work. You will ensure that everything created follows our client's brand guidelines, including voice and tone and look and feel. While you may have opportunities to work on a variety of clients, you will primarily be allocated on one client account: a leading global tech and software company for creative professionals. You understand what goes into making visually compelling and engaging content for brands, and love trying new tricks. You can succeed in both an independent and collaborative work environment with multiple rounds of feedback—we are looking for an optimistic team player! You have a POV and are not afraid to ask questions or explain your decisions. You are up to date on current software, especially After Effects and Premiere Pro, and modern design trends. You understand the nuances of best practices across platforms; you ensure we deliver on-spec, high-quality content across the digital media landscape—no matter how many deliverables or channels are included in final delivery. Qualifications: 3 years minimum experience. Employees must be located in the San Francisco or Los Angeles area as some in-office time is to be expected. Bachelors in Advertising, Marketing, Arts or related field required; in lieu of degree, equivalent experience in a relevant field required. Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator) to create compelling animations. Ability to handle several animation projects with independence, such as producing without storyboards or working with existing assets to reimagine and scale across channels. Working knowledge of Cinema 4D. Experience doing light color correction. Ability to research and select music and sound effects for projects; ability to mix audio. HTML5 banner animation with Google Web Designer. The annual salary range for this position is $51,000 - $83,375. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
