Job Description: The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is an essential member of Loyola's dynamic, award-winning marketing & communications team. Reporting to the Director of Communications, he or she will serve as the primary graphic designer for Loyola's marketing efforts, responsible for creating and enhancing a wide range of print and digital materials. This includes publications, promotional collateral, advertisements, signage, and digital assets. In addition to leading graphic design initiatives, the Coordinator will help curate and manage the school's digital presence, coordinate content across platforms, and contribute to telling the story of life and learning at Loyola. The ideal candidate will bring a strong creative vision, exceptional design skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments, ensuring that Loyola's brand is consistently represented through all communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design & Production Support Design & Layout Support:

Provide graphic design support for digital communications (e-newsletters, ads, invitations, etc.) and ensure design elements adhere to brand guidelines. Print & Collateral Production:

Manage the production and post-production process for printed materials, working with external vendors to coordinate the review, proofing, and delivery of collateral. Branded Materials:

Create a variety of printed and digital assets (brochures, postcards, signage, digital ads, etc.) to support the needs of admissions, development, and other departments. Content Creation & Storytelling

Capture and Create Visual Content:

Assist in gathering digital content, including photography and video, to highlight life and learning at Loyola. Develop Engaging Stories:

Write compelling copy for digital channels and feature stories that spotlight faculty, staff, students, alumni, benefactors, and school programs. Content Strategy:

Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging content and messaging, ensuring alignment with strategic marketing goals. Digital and Social Media Management

Website Content Updates:

Regularly update and enhance content on the school's website in partnership with content providers and departments. Social Media Strategy & Execution:

Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive social media strategy to connect with various audiences, communicating key messages that support marketing efforts. Analyze Trends:

Stay informed about digital marketing trends and best practices, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement across platforms. Collaboration & Project Management

Vendor and Department Relations:

Maintain effective relationships with internal departments and external vendors, managing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. Brand Consistency:

Ensure all communications and design work adhere to Loyola's established brand standards and guidelines. Special Projects:

Take on special projects and other related duties as assigned, contributing to the team's overall success. Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mass communication, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field. Experience:

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in web content management (CMS experience preferred), graphic design (Adobe Creative Suite proficiency required), social media management, and copywriting. Skills:

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work. Ethical judgment and awareness of best practices for online communications and social media content.
