Plant/Continuous Improvement Manager - Flexographic Packaging

The ideal candidate will have experience managing both a Food Packaging and Flexographic Printing production facility and a team. Must have continuous improvement experience! This position involves direct management of key supporting departments, including Maintenance, Shipping, Quality, and Human Resources. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize operational performance across the plant. A deep understanding of flexible packaging, specifically in wide web flexographic (flexo) printing, is essential for this role. Responsible for implementing and overseeing various continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean and Six Sigma, to streamline processes and reduce waste. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance operational efficiency. The manager will also be tasked with analyzing data to identify trends and make informed decisions that will drive efficiency improvements across the facility. In addition to technical expertise, strong leadership and coaching skills are essential for this position. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to present ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders, including the CEO, COO, GM and department heads. Responsibilities

Direct management of key supporting departments including Maintenance, Shipping, Quality, and Human Resources. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Optimize operational performance in collaboration with the Plant Manager. Implement and oversee continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma. Analyze data to identify trends and make informed decisions for efficiency improvements. Inspire and guide managers and staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Present ideas clearly and effectively to stakeholders. Requirements

Proven experience in a Flexo manufacturing environment. In-depth understanding of flexible packaging, with specific expertise in wide web flexo printing. Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to inspire and guide managers and staff. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in CI methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to drive efficiency improvements. Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project execution.
