Brand and Content Manager
The Brand & Content Manager drives brand storytelling and digital engagement across multiple platforms. This role ensures consistent and impactful messaging for internal and external audiences, spanning social media, website content, email campaigns, newsletters, and marketing initiatives. This role works closely with teams to bring the HRP brand story to life -- driving engagement, enhancing cultural alignment, and supporting business goals. Develops executive digital engagement initiatives to strengthen leadership's professional presence in key digital spaces. Beyond these skills, the role is expected to embody Hawthorne's Live It culture, characterized by serving people and communities with kindness, leading with a servant's heart, and making memorable moments an integral part of our business approach.
Essential Functions
Brand Messaging & Content Execution
• Develop and maintain a cohesive brand voice across all platforms, including social media, website content, newsletters, and email campaigns.
• Work with Marketing and Brand teams to ensure consistent storytelling and messaging.
• Serve as a brand guardian, reviewing and refining content to align with our voice, tone, and values.
• Write compelling and engaging content for integrated marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
Executive Digital Engagement
• Develop and execute digital content to enhance the professional presence and thought leadership of senior executives.
• Manage content development to position leadership effectively in key digital spaces.
• Craft narratives and messaging to support executive visibility and company initiatives.
• Partner with leadership to develop LinkedIn and other digital content, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and brand storytelling.
Platform-Specific Communications
• Social Media - Create engaging content for posts, campaigns, and stories.
• Website - Write and update content to communicate the company's mission and offerings.
• Newsletters - Develop internal and external newsletters to inform and inspire audiences.
• Email Campaigns - Create persuasive email content tailored to specific audiences and objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Marketing, Brand, and Leadership teams to align messaging with business objectives.
• Provide messaging support for events, promotions, and brand initiatives.
Innovation & Insights
• Stay informed on industry trends in digital branding and communications to ensure relevance.
• Continuously evaluate and refine content to maximize engagement and effectiveness.
Qualifications & Skills
• Proficiency in digital and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to create clear, engaging, and error-free content.
• Strong eye for design, style, and detail.
• Experience with photography and video is a plus.
• High level of creativity and attention to detail.
• 3+ years of professional content development, brand messaging, and social media experience.
Requirements
• We require a portfolio submission and incorporating a skills assessment project as a final stage for leading candidates.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• This is a hybrid role, with the majority of the workweek requiring time spent in the corporate office in Greensboro, NC.
• Some travel required (1-3 weeks annually).

This position reports to the Director of Brand Strategy.

• Must have a reliable vehicle and proof of liability insurance.
• Overnight travel may be required for events and meetings.
Physical & Communication Demands
• Must be able to see, hear, talk, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. as needed.
• Must communicate effectively with Senior Leadership, Regional Managers, corporate team members, and external vendors.
