Subvrsive is seeking a Freelance Creative Lead to join an ongoing project for a major global brand. You will work closely with the creative department as well as cross-disciplinary project members to create and execute concepts for digital experiences, including immersive AR/VR experiences, spatial web projects, and traditional digital projects like websites and microsites. You'll be expected to actively contribute to the development of original solutions and create polished, final deliverables while collaborating with the UX, Creative, and Dev teams. As a Creative Director with a strong focus on interactivity and spatial design, you will be responsible for the artistic vision and execution of immersive 3D, AR, and VR experiences. You will lead the development of high-quality interactive environments, working closely with UX designers, 3D artists, and technical teams to craft compelling, multidimensional experiences that elevate brand storytelling and captivate users. Key Responsibilities: Lead the creative direction for AR/VR projects, ensuring seamless integration of interactive and spatial design elements. Drive concept development, translating briefs into compelling, immersive experiences that push creative and technological boundaries. Partner with UX, 3D, and Tech Art teams to craft intuitive, high-quality interactive environments that enhance user engagement. Guide the development of spatial UI and interaction design, ensuring consistency across immersive platforms. Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, providing clear direction, feedback, and support throughout the creative process. Balance creativity with feasibility, working closely with production, technical leads, and project managers to ensure timelines and scope are maintained. Stay at the forefront of XR innovation, exploring emerging tools, techniques, and industry trends to elevate creative output. Present concepts and design strategies to stakeholders and clients, integrating feedback to refine and enhance project execution. Skills and Experience: 5+ years of experience leading interactive design projects in an agency or studio environment, with a strong portfolio showcasing spatial design, AR/VR, and interactive storytelling. Expertise in spatial design principles, immersive UX/UI, and interactive storytelling within digital experiences. Ability to conceptualize and communicate design solutions effectively through sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and presentations. Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams. Strong presentation and client communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and strategic design solutions clearly. Strong knowledge of UI/UX workflows, especially in immersive environments. Strong knowledge of real-time 3D workflows, motion design, and XR technologies. Familiarity with VR hardware platforms and their design limitations and opportunities. Passion for pushing the boundaries of immersive design and crafting experiences that engage, inspire, and innovate. This role is critical in shaping the next generation of interactive experiences, ensuring every project delivers high production value, seamless user interaction, and meaningful engagement across digital landscapes.
