JOB DESCRIPTION
Creates, updates and revises sketches, working drawings and contract documents using GIS software or manual means of drafting to meet customer requirements. Prepares 2D and 3D models. Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications. Assignments will be completed utilizing information provided by project engineering, architectural, or technical services staff under the direction of a supervisor. Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology. Able to read engineering drawing and blueprints. Prepares documentation to support design drawings. Prepare bills of material, schedules, and assist engineering personnel with formal drawing transmittals and construction issues.

Mainly working on services within the GIS system, coordinating with customers on building, and working with site check people.
What does a typical day look like?
Hybrid schedule: Monday and Friday working from home, Tuesday to Thursday in the office. Working with other designers and site checkers, emailing customers, and being the point of contact for customers and site checkers.

Overall group size: 13 people, broken down into three smaller groups. The smaller group this person will be part of has 5 people.

Both internal and external customers.

Teamwork environment where members help each other out when overloaded.
What is the ramp up time/process for this role? Aside from having the required skill set, approximately how long will it take to train on process, procedures/policy?
Training expected to take a couple of months, with a trainer assigned to work closely with the new hire.
What are the work hours/shift (standard, evening, full time/part time, OT required, on-call for 24/7 operation)?
Full-time, flexible hours but generally overlapping with trainer's hours (around 7 AM to 3 PM). Overtime is not required but can be approved if desired.
