The Institute of Music at DePauw University invites applications for a part-time hourly position recruiting clarinet students during the spring 2025 semester. If students are recruited, the role will transition into a faculty position, Part-time Assistant Professor of Clarinet, teaching applied clarinet lessons to interested students beginning the fall 2025 semester.

In spring 2025, the as-needed work will support recruiting efforts by communicating with, teaching sample lessons for, and listening to auditions of prospective clarinet students. The employee would be paid for hours worked assisting with the recruitment process. There are two Audition Days, on February 15 and March 1, and a Wind and Percussion Day, on April 5. The bulk of the work will happen on these three days with the possibility of additional work to take place at mutually agreeable times on other days. The total amount of work will depend on the number of prospective students who are interested in clarinet and the total number of hours during spring 2025 will likely range between 18 and 25.
