Position Summary
HIGHLIGHTS
In this role, you’ll assist the Head of Access Services in overseeing and managing the day-to-day work of the Information Delivery Services ( IDS ) department. This includes processing requests, responding to patron & library inquiries, coordinating the shipping and receiving of physical materials, and maintaining ILL settings on various platforms.
Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have permanent appointment in a Library Assistant 2, SG-14 classified position; OR be reachable for appointment on the current New York State Civil Service canvass list for SUNY Geneseo’s area location for the Library Assistant 2, SG-14; OR be eligible via transfer.
New York State Preferred List candidates have preference.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Familiarity with ILLiad software.
Familiarity with Alma.
Experience overseeing and/or training students.
Experience writing and/or maintaining documentation.
