WOOD TV8 in Grand Rapids Michigan is looking for a rockstar Promotions Producer!

We’ve got lots of exciting projects for 2022 and are looking for a Promotions Producer who is highly motivated, creative, and has a passion for news promotion. This position will be responsible for producing effective on-air promotional spots, daily topicals, special projects, and campaigns.

The Promotions Producer should be a talented videographer bubbling with creativity, an excellent writer, and highly skilled in editing in the Adobe Suite.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Creative Services Director and Promotions Manager to create on-brand station image promos, proof of brand spots, daily topicals, and other video projects as assigned.
2. Write, produce, light, shoot, edit promos, and finish off high-end motion graphics.
3. Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and ensure that all assigned projects are delivered on time.
4. Push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to brand guidelines.
5. Produce client-sponsored promotional content as assigned.
6. Be organized and have good project management skills.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

1. Proficiency in television production and high-end post-production.
2. Ability to write, produce, shoot, edit, and create high-end motion graphics.
3. Proficient in computer software applications (e.g., Adobe Suite, Premiere, Microsoft, Wide Orbit a plus).
4. Strong video production skills utilizing new and changing technology and equipment.
5. Working knowledge of lighting equipment and audio gear.
6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with all departments.
7. Good writing skills and understanding of how to create messages that drive tune-in.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Well organized, professional, and high energy.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred with at least one year of related production experience.

Training/Equipment:

Computer with editing and motion graphic software, videography & editing skills.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

High stress environment with deadline pressures. Must be able to lift equipment such as cameras, tripods, lights, etc.
