GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the strategic execution of marketing activities at Senior Services. The qualified individual will have strong graphic design skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work in a fast-paced environment, and be comfortable with both print and digital marketing and communications. The position works closely with and reports to the Director of Marketing.
TYPICAL TASKS
- Design and produce the agency’s print collateral, digital newsletter, annual report, and digital marketing content for all program areas and special events
- Manage website content
- Manage the agency’s social media presence
- Execute digital marketing campaigns
- Track and report on the success of digital strategies
- Assist with planning, promoting, and coordinating agency special events
- Serve as photographer and videographer, and edit photos and videos for marketing purposes
- Work collaboratively with staff
- Perform additional tasks as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proven design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop
- Knowledge of pre-press design and production processes
- Working knowledge of digital marketing strategies, tools, and platforms including Canva, WordPress, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads
- Video editing experience, preferably with Adobe Premier Pro
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other staff
- Proficient writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience and proficiency with a CMS platform preferred

Job Type: Full-Time
Starting Salary Range: $52,000 - $57,000

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Applicable four-year degree (Communications, Design, Marketing, or Art) required
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design, marketing, and communications
- Google Analytics certification or the ability to obtain certification
- A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
WORK DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL
- Ability to stoop, lift, finger – for example, pick, pinch, or type and grasp.
- Ability to clearly and concisely express and exchange detailed information and ideas to others accurately via spoken word
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to inspect and analyze figures, accounting items, written materials, newsprint, computer terminal characters, transcription, and other similar objects at distances generally close to the eyes.
- The worker is subject in a variety of inside environmental conditions that may occur in an office, a private home, or elsewhere in the community including temperature variations, unpleasant odors, and potential allergens.
- Although work inside is the standard, it is required that the individual be able to travel and may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions.
