Associate Director - Library Services (Educational Resources)

Doane University invites applications for the Associate Director, Library Services (Educational Resources) position on our Crete Campus. The Associate Director of Library Services is a dynamic staff leadership role responsible for supporting the strategic direction, daily operations, and advancement of library services to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. Reporting to the Director of Learning Technology and Library Services, this position is key to enhancing access to academic resources, integrating emerging technologies, and promoting information literacy across the institution.

Position Information

Job Type: Full Time - 12 months

Salary: The pay is determined by experience and ranges from $60,000 - $65,000

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program.
  • At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in an academic, public, or specialized library setting.
  • Two (2) years of experience leading an organization, unit, or initiative.
  • Knowledge of library technologies, systems, and emerging trends in academic libraries.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in library services and programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, students, and administrators.

Physical Requirements: Sedentary work, primarily exposed to indoor elements.
