MARKETING INTERN
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Director of Marketing
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Meet Northeastern REMC. Northeastern Rural Electric Membership Corporation is a member-owned cooperative that provides electric power to over 30,000 households and businesses in Northeastern Indiana. We are a distribution utility that purchases power from Morgan Stanley Capital Group. Northeastern REMC is governed by a board of directors elected by members in different voting districts. Our Member Co-op serves residential, commercial, and industrial accounts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an on-site summer internship role for a Marketing Communications Intern in Columbia City, Indiana. The role involves supporting the marketing team in day-to-day tasks, including creating and editing marketing materials, drafting press releases, assisting with strategic communications, and supporting public relations efforts.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 2 years of college in business with a concentration in Marketing or a related field.
SKILLS:
• Familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
• A detail-orientated, self-starter mentality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of marketing principles
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Creativity and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment or independently

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
