About the Position: Cal State Fullerton's College of the Arts (COTA) is distinguished by its fully accredited department of Visual Arts. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Digital Studio Instructional Support Technician I. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.
The Digital Studio Instructional Support Technician will collaborate with faculty, staff, and IT to configure, support, track, and maintain software/hardware technology and equipment for the purpose of maximizing instructional needs in the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts/Master of Fine Arts programs with art/technology curriculum.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of equipment operations and general repairs and/or maintenance.
- Equivalent of two years’ experience providing instructional support services in an art or related unit or discipline.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with 3D printing, augmented/Virtual Reality, and understanding of live stage performance integration.
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and Motion Capture Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative setting with a diverse workforce.
