The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced UX/UI Lead to champion user-centered design for our B2B enterprise software platform. This role will be instrumental in crafting intuitive experiences for diverse users, balancing complex workflows across multiple form factors. The ideal candidate will leverage AI-based innovations to enhance user experience while simplifying complex processes. While most of our team is based in California, we welcome applicants from across the United States for this remote position.

What You Will Achieve and Key Responsibilities:

Unified Design System

  • Develop and implement a cohesive design system across our digital platforms (e.g., distributor portals, manufacturer sites) and form factors (desktop, mobile, and tablet) by creating and maintaining a comprehensive UI component library using tools like Figma.

User-Centric Solutions

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and launch features—such as enhanced search interfaces and intuitive data visualization tools—that drive higher user engagement. Advocate for accessibility, modern UI/UX best practices, and emerging design trends in enterprise software.

Optimized User Journeys

  • Lead user research and usability testing initiatives to create detailed personas, map comprehensive user journeys, and reduce cognitive load for improved efficiency ensuring a balance of power and simplicity.

Design Excellence

  • Mentor and guide a team of designers (employees and external design agencies) while establishing design frameworks that ensure consistency, scalability, and accessibility across all products.

Market Impact

  • Leverage industry insights in construction supply chain technology to inform design strategies that boost user satisfaction, engagement, and overall client ROI.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional global teams (product, engineering, UX, sales, and customer success) to deliver timely, high-impact user-centric designs and prototypes that meet the needs of different user personas.

Customer Adoption

  • Work closely with customers and customer success teams to drive data-driven decision-making by establishing KPIs and monitoring metrics to gather insights and refine product features to maximize adoption.

Who You Are:

You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of UX/UI design in enterprise software environments. You excel at creating intuitive user experiences for complex workflows. Your qualifications include:

  • 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on enterprise software and complex workflows.

  • You possess 2+ years of leadership or mentorship experience, successfully managing design teams in dynamic environments.

  • Your portfolio showcases innovative, UX-focused web application designs that solve complex challenges and deliver intuitive user experiences for B2B Enterprise clients.

  • You are proficient in user-centered design methodologies, accessibility standards, and usability testing.

  • Expertise in designing for B2B applications, particularly in procurement, construction tech, or marketplace platforms.

  • Strong understanding of mobile-first design, responsive frameworks, and AI-driven UX innovations.

  • Proven ability to simplify complex workflows while ensuring high adoption and engagement.

  • Experience working with Figma, or other modern design tools.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience with designing for diverse user groups, including digital-native younger users and experienced SMEs with varying tech proficiency.

  • Familiarity with front-end development concepts (HTML, CSS) and modern design systems (e.g., React-based frameworks) is beneficial.
