Salary: $60,000-$65,000

The CCIM Institute is looking for a strong writer and skilled communicator to join our team as a Communication Specialist. This role requires someone who can research, craft, and deliver compelling, high-quality content across multiple platformsincluding social media, the website, blogs, newsletters, and digital publications. Your Core Contributions to the Team

  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and manage content for newsletters, blogs, social media, the website, and digital publications.
  • Storytelling: Develop compelling narratives showcasing the value of The CCIM Institute and CCIM Designees in commercial real estate deals.
  • Social Media & Digital Strategy: Plan, schedule, and curate engaging posts to increase brand awareness and member engagement.
  • Marketing & Member Engagement: Support campaigns for membership renewals, educational courses, sponsorships, and key industry initiatives.
  • Website & Editorial Oversight: Ensure website content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with brand standards. Assist with editorial planning for podcasts, webinars, and special projects.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work with cross-functional teamsincluding Membership, Education, and Governanceto align messaging and communication efforts.
  • Analytics & Optimization: Monitor content performance using data insights to refine strategies and maximize impact.
  • Innovation & Technology: Leverage AI tools and emerging communication trends to enhance content creation and engagement. Travel and work outside regular hours, as needed, to cover events or meetings (may include occasional weekends).
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall content strategy and marketing objectives of The CCIM Institute.

Knowledge and abilities

  • 3 years of marketing, brand management, communications.

Education, certification, licenses

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, journalism, or related field is preferred.

Qualifications and other skills

  • Knowledge of digital and print marketing practices, with an emphasis on creating and distributing compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with expertise in AP style and a demonstrated ability to craft clear, engaging copy for newsletters, blogs, podcasts, and social media platforms.
  • Experience managing social media content, including planning, scheduling, and curating posts to align with strategic goals and enhance audience engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and leverage insights to inform decision-making and optimize communication strategies.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools to increase content visibility and engagement across platforms.
  • Collaborative team player who values feedback, adapts to changing priorities, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Project management skills with a focus on detail-oriented, organized execution of multiple cross-functional initiatives.
  • Maintains a growth mindset, seeking innovative solutions to improve results and drive engagement.
