Level99 is a first-of-its-kind destination for real-world, social, challenge-based entertainment for adults featuring over 50 mental and physical challenges set in immersive, artistic environments. Each challenge is designed to bring a group together in engaging activities that take 2 to 4 minutes to complete, sparking moments of laughter in epic fails and high-fives in triumphant wins. From navigating our iconic Axe Run, to solving puzzles in a Crystal Cavern, to conquering the largest pinball game imaginable, Level99 offers endless ways to play using both body and mind. Level99 tracks each player's progress as they work their way up the coveted leaderboard or try to collect every "star" available in the venue, unlocking exclusive rewards as they play. To enhance the gaming experience, Level99 offers a full-service bar, restaurant, and beer hall, Night Shift Kitchen + Tap, that features scratch-made cooking, legendary craft beers, hand-made creative cocktails, and a variety of dining and gathering spaces for events. In 2025, we will be adding Victory Brewing in Tysons, VA and Two Roads Kitchen + Tap in West Hartford, CT to our group of restaurants as we team up with local brewers in support of our northeast expansion.

Level99 opened its first location in 2021 in Natick, MA, followed by its second location in Providence, RI in 2024. A young, entrepreneurial company, Level99 has immediate plans to triple in size over the next 18 months. We are backed by Act III Holdings, led by Panera founder Ron Shaich, and we have a talented team that has worked on successful entertainment projects such as 5 Wits, Boda Borg, Blue Man Group, and Walt Disney Imagineering. JOB DESCRIPTION

The multi-functional Production Designer role involves aspects of scenic design, art installation design, drafting/technical drawings, facility coordination, and creative project management at all stages of the process from concept inception to realization. This is a "working" design role, with the Production Designer responsible for the execution of finished solutions and guest experiences, whether digital or physical, in a variety of media, as well as managing internal and external resources to complete assigned scopes of work.

The Production Designer has honesty and personal integrity that is above reproach, prefers a joyful and positive approach to challenging situations, chooses humility over the need to "be right," and in all things acts as though s/he is the Owner and Operator of each Level99 venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES Create

detailed production drawings of original scenic and art installations Create

comprehensive design packages to capture creative intent, to include drawings, renders, references, written overviews and more Collaborate

with artists, engineers, and other designers and Subject Matter Experts to

create

original designs for scenic, art, and experiential installations. Develop

concepts from creative briefs, taking them from early concept exploration, to sketches, to detailed drawings, production assets, etc. Coordinate

with facility and construction teams through integrated design processes Prescribe/suggest

materials for various installations, with considerations to cost, durability, safety, code compliance, etc. Utilize

3D models (Blender, Revit) as part of integrated design Oversee

fabrication efforts (both in-house and external) to protect creative intent while delivering on project goals Ensures

project completion through documentation of finishes and materials, and

organizes

packages of final design drawings Create

high quality, original production graphics and visual assets Create

rapid early concepts and previsualization, both 2D & 3D Regularly attend and contribute to design and planning

meetings,

including scheduling those meetings when appropriate and keeping projects on track Maintain schedules,

estimate

time hours required to complete assignments, and provide regular check-ins to review the status of projects and deliverables Complete

administrative

tasks associated with a successful professional role including: hours/timesheet/cost reporting, documenting costs, and maintaining a prioritized list of tasks Keep individual workspaces, and the building as a whole,

clean , organized, and efficient Prioritize personal

safety

and the safety of coworkers and guests in the day-to-day execution of duties Identify and

interface

with external contractors and suppliers to complete creative development, artistic, and content creation tasks Display skill in leading and

navigating hard conversations

positive , upbeat, pro-active attitude and inspire the same in co-workers Other duties, as assigned MUST-HAVE SKILLS

2+ years relevant scenic and production design experience Must have completed a full design and construction cycle, with experience in each phase from concept through design, construction, fabrication, and installation Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) Proficiency with Blender, Revit, Rhino, or similar Modeling, Layout, Lighting, Rendering, etc solutions Strong eye for visual design Ability to self-manage time and resources in a low-oversight environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail High integrity and professionalism Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environment Understands, utilizes and embraces new technology and its implementation into our operation, with specific knowledge in, but not limited to, Microsoft Office A positive, joyful, upbeat and energetic attitude - leading by example Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which may include days, nights, weekends and holidays Ability to travel periodically as required for site visits or installing new venues Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs/ladders Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings, manuals, and instructions Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline 3+ years experience with Technical Drawings, specifically detailed construction and design intent documentation Familiarity with creating large-scale print files Traditional painting & fabrication experience, along with a familiarity with standard materials, finishes, and fabrication methods

While we don't expect a candidate to have deep experience in all of the above, we're looking for someone with the passion and capability to learn quickly in the areas that are new!
