RF Design Engineering Manager

Location: Austin, TX

A leading semiconductor company is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineering Manager to lead a team developing advanced mixed-signal ICs for RF and automotive applications.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the RF/Analog Design team
• Collaborate with engineering and marketing leaders to define product roadmaps
• Oversee project planning, execution, and resource allocation
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture, design, and validation
• Drive hiring efforts for engineers and interns
• Stay updated on design innovations through research and industry engagement

Requirements:

• Experience in RF and Analog/Mixed-Signal IC design
• Knowledge of CMOS fabrication, RF building blocks (LNA, Mixer, ADC, PLL, etc.), and RF system design
• Expertise in circuit simulation, layout verification (DRC, LVS), and tools like MATLAB and UNIX
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience managing an IC Design team
• Digital design flow knowledge and lab measurement skills
• Familiarity with quality systems and documentation
