Senior Vice President, Communications

to join our

CEO Communications

Team in the Marketing & Communications function. Reporting directly to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO), this senior role sits within the Communications team and plays a critical role in shaping and amplifying the CEO's voice across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in executive communications and media relations with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences internally and externally. This hybrid role is located in NYC. CEO Communications Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that enhances the CEOs thought leadership and aligns with BNY business priorities. Oversee CEO communications to employees, including all-employee meetings, internal memos, and video messages. Manage the CEOs media engagements, press interviews, and speaking opportunities, ensuring alignment with BNY's corporate reputation strategy. Develop key messages, op-eds, and speeches for high-profile external engagements. Cultivate strong relationships with top-tier journalists and media outlets to position the CEO and company effectively. Oversee content strategy and execution for the CEOs LinkedIn, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize engagement. Work with creative teams to produce high-impact multimedia content, including video, graphics, and written posts.

Team Leadership & Collaboration Lead a small, high-performing team and collaborate closely with stakeholders across communications, marketing, investor relations, and business leadership and the CEO's office. Serve as a key advisor to the CEO, providing counsel on communications opportunities and challenges.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: 12+ years of experience in executive communications, corporate communications, or media relations. Prior experience supporting a senior executive in a large corporate organization is required. Strong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to craft speeches, op-eds, internal messages, and digital content at an executive level. Understanding of financial services, policy, and corporate reputation management. Experience in government or agency communications experience is a plus. Track record of success in media relations, with strong journalist relationships and experience managing high-profile interviews. Expertise in digital and social media strategy, particularly LinkedIn. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders with discretion and sound judgment.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
