Job Posting: Permit Specialist (Telecommunications Field)
We have an exciting Contract-to-Hire opportunity for a Permit Specialist in the Telecommunications field. The primary focus of this role will be preparing and submitting Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) permit applications for various entities including city, county, state, pole, and railroad authorities.

Job Duties:
Serve as the primary point of contact with jurisdictions, fostering positive relationships and ensuring smooth permit processes. Perform detailed jurisdictional and utility research, providing guidance to the team on municipal code and document requirements. Communicate the status of permits clearly and professionally through emails and calls. Compile, submit, and retrieve permit packages electronically or in-person. Travel to permitting authorities as needed to expedite permit approval. Track permit lifecycle from submission to approval and manage expiration and renewals. Ensure all required deliverables (prints, permits, and traffic control plans) are accurately uploaded into the company’s database. Submit and track power applications for projects involving powered cabinets or huts. Maintain accurate data within tracking systems and databases. Provide support to teammates in various markets as needed.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience in permitting, with a focus on Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) applications. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the Telecommunications industry is a plus.
