We are Stack Builders, a US-based software consultancy with offices in New York, Quito, and Madrid. We specialize in providing high-quality, practical software solutions to clients around the globe, and we're growing our talented, diverse team. We're currently seeking an experienced AEM Lead Author to join us!

In this remote contract position, you'll collaborate with a client project team to boost brand visibility, optimize their website, engage visitors, and lead a team of AEM authors. You will be essential in managing the full web process, from production to SEO, content creation, and page management. Your expertise will be crucial in creating and updating pages within the CMS.

For this specific job post, we can only accept candidates who reside and are eligible to work in the US, Canada, and Colombia.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of AEM authors in creating, managing, and maintaining content within AEM.
  • Structuring content according to AEM components, templates, assets, and workflows.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices for AEM site architecture, and quality controls.
  • Ensuring ADA compliance, accessibility, and localization.
  • Collaborating with developers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to optimize AEM functionality.
  • Managing and troubleshooting AEM authoring issues, including content migration and updates.
  • Overseeing workflow automation and permissions for content publishing.
  • Troubleshooting AEM content issues and managing content migrations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in AEM content authoring and management.
  • Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in AEM is highly desirable.
  • Deep expertise in AEM authoring tools, workflows, and DAM.
  • Knowledge of AEM templates, components, and DAM (Digital Asset Management).
  • Understanding of SEO, content strategy, and accessibility compliance.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for content formatting and minor adjustments.
  • Collaboration with UX, developers, and business teams.
  • Ability to understand dynamic enterprise workflows and processes quickly.
  • Availability to overlap at least 4 hours with US PDT time zone working hours.
  • Fluent and efficient communication skills in English are necessary for direct communication with clients and across different departments.
  • Location Requirements: Open to candidates in Canada, Colombia, and the US with flexibility on specific locations.
  • For US applicants, the ability to work as a contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in digital marketing or content strategy is a plus.
  • Understanding of web analytics and user behavior tracking.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and Jira.

Location Requirements: Open only to candidates located in the United States, Colombia, and Canada, with flexibility on specific locations therein.

The projected salary range for this position is from $47 to $57/hr, determined by the candidate’s interview outcome, skills, experience, education, and alignment with market data.
