About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced Owners Authorized Representative (OAR) to manage and oversee all phases of assigned projects, from pre-construction to close-out. In this role, you will ensure the efficient coordination of activities, timelines, and budgets, acting as a key liaison between the school district and contractors. The OAR will report to upper management, providing regular updates on the status and progress of each project, while ensuring adherence to project budgets and schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, oversee, and coordinate all facets of the pre-construction, bid, award, construction, and close-out phases for assigned projects. Plan, organize, and prepare detailed reports for upper management regarding project status and progress. Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules to meet the qualitative standards set by the school district. Ensure the project budget reflects accurate monthly updates and aligns with the project's current status. Manage daily contractor activities, review contractor construction schedules and submittals, and address contractor inquiries through the RFC (Request for Clarification) process.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience managing DSA (Division of the State Architect) projects with a project value above $15 million. A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or a BS degree with a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certificate. Proven experience managing complex, multi-phase construction projects within the educational sector. Strong understanding of project management principles, budgeting, and scheduling. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
Experience with design-build projects. Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies. Experience working on LEED-certified projects. OSHA 30 certification.
