clinics are MAGNET-certified, dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care for cancer blood disorders. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care.
Part-time (0.6 FTE): 3 days a week x 8-hour shifts No nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays The Pediatric Oncology, Chemo Infusion RN provides hands on nursing care for Idaho’s Pediatric Oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the chemotherapy infusion center Responsibilities include medical guidance, patient education, care coordination, and phone triage Committed to delivering excellence in patient care by collaborating closely with providers, nurse navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates (PFAs), social workers, and other allied disciplines
Nursing Degree Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Health & Safety Institute Preferred: Two (2) + years of pediatric oncology RN experience, APHON chemotherapy/biotherapy provider course, and/or PALS certification
