Summary of Duties
The Communications Coordinator role assists the Design Specialist and Brand & Communications Specialist in forming a collaborative team, ensuring consistent messaging, visual branding, and practical workflows. They are a resource to ministry departments and CTK campuses for their print and production needs. They will collaborate effectively in support of our ministries and campuses to train new hires, serve as a liaison, and manage print requests.
Essential Functions
Design and Print Production
- Assist with updating and publishing online weekly program
- Assist with updating weekly on-screen sermon content
- Act as liaison for design requests between the staff and the Communications team
- Assist the Design Specialist with printing interior/exterior promotional signage
- Manage and produce more complex print requests from staff
- Assist in producing the quarterly CTK Life magazine, including layout, links, and QR codes.
Weekly Mass Email Management
- Organize content and load promotional text and images into online email builder
- Apply links and check for accuracy
- Follow set process for sending through church database
Website Maintenance
- Maintain primary sections of church website and administer back-end users and permissions
- Provide content management system training to staff and assist with updates and formatting
- Post weekly web updates of sermon notes and marketing content
- Facilitate media requests and all church mass emails
Production Room Management
- Maintain production equipment and supplies; coordinate with vendors
- Train and support all new hires on Production Room operation
- Act as the Help Desk for the Production Room
Requirements
- Commitment to CTK’s mission, vision and values
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Mac platform
- A basic understanding of website creation, CSS, and HTML is helpful
- Post-secondary education or certificate in graphic design or marketing preferred
- Demonstrated competency in copier/printer troubleshooting, supply ordering, and inventory
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication
- Ability to communicate complex processes and projects in a simplified, relational manner
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent project management and follow-through skills
- Highly organized yet easily adaptable and relational

- Adaptable to new tech and scalable project management software
