Position Summary:

Studio71 is seeking a dynamic Music & Creator Partnerships Manager to build and manage relationships with music talent, optimize their digital presence, and grow their revenue streams. This role is at the intersection of talent management and digital media strategy, helping artists maximize their earnings from sound recordings, music videos, and publishing assets across YouTube and other social media and DSP platforms.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working with music talent, a deep understanding of digital rights and revenue strategies, and the charisma to engage and onboard new talent into our network. You’ll play a pivotal role in showcasing the value of our services to artists, guiding them through opportunities in music claiming, music distribution, branded integrations, and beyond.

You'll be joining a team of experienced music managers, collaborating to drive success for our artists. A structured 90-day ramp-up period will provide training on our processes, ensuring you have the tools to excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with music talent, serving as a trusted advisor on career development and digital growth.
  • Drive proactive outreach and talent acquisition on YouTube, ensuring a robust pipeline of new artists to join our network.
  • Optimize revenue from direct uploads by managing music assets effectively—proactively identifying misclaimed or unclaimed YouTube videos, advising talent on their rights, and asserting those rights to maximize earnings.
  • Enhance copyright protection and off-channel revenue by identifying missing assets, collecting sound recording, music video, and publishing assets, and ensuring comprehensive claims across YouTube to increase third-party revenue.
  • Manage and grow off-YouTube music distribution opportunities, helping artists deliver recordings to 400+ platforms, secure playlists, handle licenses, and split earnings with collaborators.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to diversify revenue streams, from digital ad revenue to ancillary opportunities such as brand partnerships, music licensing, and video distribution.
  • Develop and execute tailored digital content strategies that enhance visibility, engagement, and monetization of music assets across YouTube and beyond.
  • Consistently achieve performance targets related to new talent outreach and revenue expansion, ensuring that both YouTube earnings and broader income streams continue to grow.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing music talent, with expertise in digital content strategy, music distribution, and identifying revenue growth opportunities—while remaining open to collaboration with managers to refine strategies and maximize success.
  • Skilled in dynamic and persuasive communication, with the ability to naturally initiate conversations, engage talent in meaningful discussions, and confidently present strategies that drive growth.
  • Highly proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a strong ability to independently identify missed revenue opportunities, analyze gaps, and take initiative to maximize earnings for talent.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage a high volume of initiatives, prioritize effectively, and execute multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledgable of music publishing, copyright laws, and digital distribution, ensuring robust protection and maximization of artists’ content.
  • Deep passion for music and the evolving digital landscape, with a strong desire to build a lasting career in the industry, staying ahead of trends, and driving sustained success for talent.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in music talent management, digital strategy, or a related field.
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited university, preferably in Music Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Proven success in managing music content and optimizing revenue on YouTube or similar digital platforms.

Salary Expectations:

Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000 annually + benefits + Commission.

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.

In addition to base salary, the successful candidate will also be eligible to receive bonus incentive compensation based on the achievement of applicable sales goals.
