The Amazon Music Merch team is looking for a Creative Program Manager to oversee manage the design process for our most high-profile music merchandise launches.
This role is responsible for supporting the design and apparel development process of new merchandise collections, including project managing across apparel design, and developing a process to acquire artist feedback and drive iterations with the production team. Must be familiar with apparel/merch production process. They will own management of aligning on final designs from artist input, facilitating the acquisition of design files and driving their execution, developing tech packs, and art separations. They will be involved in sample coordination, and specifications for tech packs and art separation needs. They will have a sharp attention to detail, with the ability to effectively communicate and advocate for the artist’s creative vision. They will participate in the development of brand guides and/or moodboards, to set the vision for design direction and collections.
This role requires working programmatically and cross-functionally. They will create and maintain an efficient workflow and process, by effectively managing stakeholders across internal and external teams. This role will own and manage a network of external and internal designers. They will consider how to optimize operations to support a rapidly growing business, and can work at the tactical level of executing against various deliverables. Combined with their strong attention to detail, this role requires a strong understanding of the apparel space
The ideal candidate is a STRONG project manager with experience in the apparel design and screen print production space. They exemplify the ability to insist on high standards and have a strong bias for action. They excel in working in fast-paced environments, and are a strong communicator who can work on complex projects while sharing frequent updates with multiple stakeholders.
Key job responsibilities
Project manage the end-to-end process with design, production, and marketing to deliver new product collections
Facilitate input from artists and teams to designers to deliver on high quality art, and design files
Partner with design, merchandising, and production teams to ensure alignment throughout the product development process.
Creating specifications, guidelines and workflow for cross-functional stakeholders to adhere to for sampling approval and mass production.
Translating highly detailed requests and current and upcoming trends into comprehensive ideas for new product offerings
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Bachelor's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), PLM systems, CAD creation.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
Experience leading process improvements
Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
Experience in creating specifications, guidelines and workflow for cross-functional stakeholders to adhere to for sampling approval and mass production.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
