What We Are Looking For:
Bandwidth's Digital Media Photographer/Videographer is a visual storyteller able to create effective and engaging communications across multiple platforms. This organized and skilled individual collaborates with team leaders, communications partners and Creative Marketing video production to plan B-roll opportunities, create high-quality multimedia content (internal and external), capturing and editing compelling imagery and video.
As part of the Internal Communications Team the Digital Media Photographer/Videographer will primarily support the internal communications mission in People Services and provide imagery and support for the Creative Marketing team's internal video production projects, ensuring high-quality visuals through expert photography, videography, and post-production editing. Will be responsible for maintaining efficient workflows, upholding brand and communications team standards, and producing creative content that reflects and enhances the Bandwidth culture.
Must have a passion for creating captivating video and photographic content with a strong work ethic and eagerness to take on any challenge. This position provides the opportunity to work on a wide array of cross-departmental projects, from supporting storytelling, developing ideas, and videos production to any other multimedia content needed for our internal communications platforms. The primary focus will be on capturing and creating compelling video and photographic content that clearly communicates our mission and company culture. What You'll Do:
- Capture high-quality photo and video content for internal communications, video production, events, employee spotlights, and brand storytelling across multiple platforms.
- Edit and enhance photos and videos using industry-standard software to produce polished, engaging, and brand-aligned content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand project goals and translate them into compelling visual narratives.
- Plan and execute video shoots, including lighting, audio, composition, and camera operation, ensuring professional-quality production.
- Manage and organize digital assets, maintaining an efficient storage system for easy retrieval and repurposing of content.
- Ensure brand consistency in all visual content by adhering to company style guides, color palettes, and creative direction.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve video and photography quality.
- Maintain and care for photography and videography equipment, ensuring all gear is in working order and up to date.
- Work within deadlines to deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of video productions. While collecting b-roll is the primary responsibility, other contributions can include participating in storyboarding, scriptwriting, filming, editing, and simple animation.
- Will contribute to, and participate in, quarterly All Hands productions, Annual Awards Program, Annual Sales Meeting (ROKO), Reverb and other large corporate productions and events.
- Collaborate with Internal Communications and Audio/Visual IT teams to develop skills and create visually stunning and seamless live event productions.
- Assist with live-streaming and video recording for company events, meetings, and internal initiatives as needed.
- Learn the intricate aspects of the Bandwidth culture in order to be a culture champion to our fellow Bandmates.
- Take ownership of the Bandmate Way communications monitors, along with other digitally rich content franchises as assigned, and create plans for content both long and short term, including global business and customer events and company culture.
- Will actively participate in, and assist with the planning and support of Company challenges, recruiting events, special company events, spirit week, social media campaigns and other regular projects the communications team supports in multiple capacities.
- Responsible for Bandmate Badge Photos and Executive Headshots
- Will assist with the Communication team's management of content for internal systems including Confluence/rover, Okta, Slack and other systems.
- Initiate connection with Bandmates to achieve a holistic view of our mission and culture, gathering ideas and content for future projects for the communications team.
- May include occasional international travel to Europe and office locations in the US.
What You Need:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- 4-6 years of experience in videography, including audio capture, lighting setup, and camera operation. Demonstrated portfolio of contributing to compelling storytelling and communications and bringing them to life with visually rich, meaningful and thoughtful imagery.
- Strong ability to simplify the complex and communicate technical artistic thoughts and ideas to various audiences. Strong writing skills are a plus.
Bonus Points:
- Preferred experience includes working in an agency or in-house tech environment
- Experience on set managing video shoots and coordinating with crew, talent, and equipment. Proficient in maintaining organized file structures and media asset management systems to ensure smooth workflows. Strong understanding of color theory and its application in video production to enhance storytelling through effective color grading.
