Director of Marketing
to oversee the firm’s marketing initiatives and support business development efforts. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO ),
the Director of Marketing will play a key role in enhancing the firm’s brand, developing marketing strategies and executing tactics that align with the firm’s growth and visibility objectives. This role requires a creative and innovative leader with significant experience in professional services marketing, preferably in-house at a law firm. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the firm’s visibility and reputation. Oversee branding, digital marketing, content strategy and client/prospect/referral source engagement initiatives. Manage the firm's website and social media channels, as well as other digital assets to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness. Draft content – including biographies, practice descriptions, news items and social posts, among other items – for the website and social media channels when needed. Collaborate with the CMO, partners and practice groups to develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns and business development initiatives. Manage and assist in the creation of thought leadership content, including useful articles, blog posts, client alerts and occasional custom reports. Draft various brochure and experiential content in support of business development efforts, including pitches, RFP responses, client proposals and other presentations. Prepare firm and practice submissions for online directories, databases and other publications. Manage and support creation of advertising and other deliverables for all business and charitable sponsorships/contributions. Plan and help execute all firm-sponsored marketing and business development-related events, as well as webinars, podcasts and conference participation. Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence and client feedback to inform marketing strategies. Collaborate with the CMO and marketing coordinator to execute projects and other deliverables as a marketing team, tracking and ensuring appropriate progress, providing guidance and feedback when appropriate. Manage relationships with agencies, vendors and contractors to execute marketing initiatives. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field (advanced degree preferred). 7-10 years of marketing leadership & management experience (manager and above), preferably in a law firm or professional services environment. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies. Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in digital marketing tools (i.e., Canva, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Cloud), CRM systems and analytics platforms. Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, firm leadership and external partners. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Benefits Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance. The target salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000. Salary determinations are based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, class or graduation year, and education of the selected candidate. Hybrid in-office position. Current Firm policy is 10 days a month in office subject to training and business demands.
