Mold Design Specialist Job at Cypress HCM in Forest Lake

A leading plastics manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Mold Design Specialist for a 1st shift position. This role involves planning and developing high-quality mold designs that meet customer specifications. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in Tooling and CNC Machining, along with expertise in CREO software. You will be reporting directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers to ensure product designs meet their specifications and requirements.
• Provide assistance with part design challenges, resulting in more robust solutions.
• Document processes clearly and accurately for internal and customer reference.
• Foster a cooperative work environment among all employees.
• Take responsibility for timely completion of projects.
• Develop, assess, and enhance mold building techniques.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Skills Needed:

• Preferred 2-year trade school education with a focus on tool making or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Mold Designer.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in business correspondence and presentations; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant operating systems.
• Proficient in design/software applications such as Creo and SolidWorks.
• Understanding of engineering operations; proficient in blueprint reading and mold/component manufacturing; skilled in making tolerancing decisions during processes.
• Ability to perform daily tasks safely, work independently, solve practical problems, and collaborate effectively with customers, vendors, and other departments.

Salary range of $80-95K annually, with flexibility based on experience level.
