LVI Associates is hiring: Hardware Designer in Newark

The client is currently looking for a Hardware Designer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of control panel design, PLC layout, development, implementation, and documentation of control and management information systems that meet the functional and timeline requirements set by their clients.

They are seeking a designer who will handle the complete lifecycle of control and management systems, including their design, development, implementation, and documentation. This role also involves assisting with future project cost estimates and occasionally visiting customer sites.

Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting engineering drawings for control and automation systems in collaboration with the client's CAD/Design Department.
• Ensuring the proper technical execution of assigned project work, guided by the Project Manager or Project Engineer. This includes work in the areas of instrumentation (e.g., application, mechanical installation, interconnection), electrical schematics, interconnections, power systems, conduit, cable management, and more.
• Translating engineers' ideas and concepts into detailed, accurate drawings.
• Communicating effectively and advising project managers on conflicting or unclear information.
• Adhering to company procedures and standards to maintain consistency and high-quality output.
• Contributing to the development of new or revised procedures to enhance quality and productivity.
• Testing control panels and setting up internal systems for development and testing purposes.

This role requires proficiency in technical design, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow established standards while contributing to improvements in processes.
