Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Trade Marketing Manager to develop and execute trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive sales growth, and strengthen relationships with key retail and distribution partners. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment of trade marketing initiatives with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and implement trade marketing plans to support sales targets and brand objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer insights, and competitive activity to refine strategies.
- Work closely with sales teams to create impactful in-store and promotional campaigns.
Retail & Channel Management:
- Collaborate with retailers, distributors, and key accounts to optimize product placement and visibility.
- Develop and execute trade promotions, merchandising initiatives, and point-of-sale materials.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of trade marketing activities to measure effectiveness and ROI.
Sales Support & Execution:
- Develop sales enablement materials, including presentations, brochures, and promotional assets.
- Support product launches and seasonal campaigns with trade-specific marketing strategies.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate retail and distribution partners on brand and product benefits.
Analysis & Reporting:
- Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of trade marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Utilize sales data and insights to optimize trade marketing strategies and drive revenue growth.
- Work closely with finance and sales teams to ensure budgets are maximized efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in trade marketing, preferably in the cannabis, CPG, or beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of retail and distribution channels, including dispensaries and cannabis retailers.
- Experience developing and executing trade promotions, merchandising strategies, and sales enablement tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry with a passion for cannabis culture and products.
