Stinger is looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Brand Marketing to lead our Events and Creative teams, driving brand awareness and consistency across all touchpoints. This role is a key leadership position within the marketing team, helping to elevate our event presence, refine our brand identity, grow our brand presence, and mentor our team to execute at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute top-of-funnel strategies, including event activations, awareness campaigns, social media, partnerships, and sponsorships, to grow engagement and build brand equity.
  • Define and refine our brand identity, messaging, and positioning across all channels to ensure consistency and authenticity.
  • Oversee the creative team to produce compelling visuals and campaigns that resonate with target audiences and bring our brand to life.
  • Oversee the brand marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for cost-effective execution and alignment with company goals.
  • Lead PR efforts to amplify our voice, build strong media relationships, and enhance brand visibility through influencer and press engagement.
  • Partner with the Director of Ecommerce to align awareness efforts with mid- and bottom-funnel strategies, ensuring a seamless customer journey from discovery to purchase.
  • Monitor emerging marketing trends, technologies, and innovations to identify new opportunities for brand growth.
  • Define, track, and report on key metrics to measure brand health, campaign effectiveness, and team performance.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of brand marketing campaigns, including media planning, buying, and managing media agency relationships. Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve strategic brand objectives
  • Manage outside agency relationships and negotiate contracts and partnerships with vendors or external collaborators to maximize value.

What You’ll Own & Drive:

Event Strategy & Growth

  • Oversee the Events team, providing strategic direction and mentorship to help elevate our event presence.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive event marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to expand our event footprint, including trade shows, industry activations, and new event formats.
  • Ensure seamless event execution, optimizing our presence to deliver strong ROI and audience impact.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance metrics for event success and brand awareness.

Brand Leadership & Creative Strategy

  • Lead the development of brand positioning work, including target audience definition, market analysis, and competitive differentiation.
  • Manage the Creative team, ensuring brand consistency across all marketing channels and initiatives.
  • Oversee product launch campaigns, rebrands, and brand integrations, ensuring a cohesive brand identity.
  • Guide the development of brand messaging, positioning, and visual identity, ensuring alignment with our growth strategy.

Brand Marketing Execution

  • Implement and oversee multi-channel brand marketing initiatives, including digital, social, print, and experiential marketing.
  • Work directly on branding projects, partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities to maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Lead PR efforts to enhance brand visibility, develop media relationships, and drive strategic storytelling.
  • Ensure all marketing efforts are data-driven, tracking performance and making optimizations to improve brand impact.

Requirements:

  • Proven background in brand marketing with a track record of launching successful campaigns, building awareness, and managing creative and event teams.
  • Strong understanding of the aftermarket or automotive industry (or similar sectors) is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, mentor creative talent, and achieve ambitious goals.
  • Ability to connect big-picture brand strategies with tactical execution to deliver measurable results.
  • Skilled at crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences and elevate the brand’s presence.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in tracking metrics, measuring effectiveness, and refining strategies based on performance insights.
  • Adept at partnering across teams to align objectives and deliver cohesive, impactful campaigns.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools, creative software, or analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CRM tools, Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Expertise in managing marketing budgets and optimizing resource allocation to achieve goals.
  • Skilled in assigning and tracking projects to ensure teams deliver on time and on budget
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a Marketing related field
