About the Role

We’re looking for a strategic, analytical, and hands-on eCommerce & Digital Marketing Manager to own and optimize the performance of swissgear.com . This role will focus on driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through a full-funnel marketing approach.

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing Shopify Plus , overseeing performance marketing across paid media channels , and leading efforts to enhance conversion rates, promotions, and site experience . The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in eCommerce analytics, digital advertising, and paid media strategy while also being comfortable managing agencies and internal teams.

This role works closely with the social media team to align content strategies with broader eCommerce initiatives, but the primary focus will be on website performance, paid media, and customer acquisition strategies.

Key Responsibilities

🛒 eCommerce Site Management & Optimization

  • Oversee swissgear.com to ensure a seamless and conversion-optimized shopping experience.
  • Manage site content, including product pages, promotions, landing pages, and merchandising.
  • Leverage analytics tools like GA4, Microsoft Clarity, and A/B testing to improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate restocks based on sales trends and demand forecasting.

📢 Full-Funnel Digital Marketing & Paid Media Oversight

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies that drive customers from brand awareness to purchase and retention.
  • Work closely with an external paid media agency to optimize campaigns across Google, Bing, Meta , and other ad platforms.
  • Manage paid search, social media advertising, and influencer collaborations.
  • Optimize email, SMS marketing, and retargeting strategies to drive repeat purchases.
  • Track customer lifetime value, retention metrics, and purchase behaviors to refine marketing efforts.

🎯 Promotional Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute seasonal promotions, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the eCommerce marketing and promotions calendar, ensuring timely execution.
  • Ensure all campaign assets are visually compelling and aligned with the brand.

📲 Social Media & Content Marketing Integration

  • Collaborate with the social media team to create a cohesive cross-channel marketing approach.
  • Align paid and organic social media efforts with website performance and brand awareness goals.

📊 Performance Tracking & Data-Driven Strategy

  • Develop reports tracking eCommerce performance, including website traffic, conversion rates, and ad spend efficiency.
  • Use Excel and analytics tools to analyze data and optimize campaigns.
  • Continuously test and improve marketing strategies based on performance insights.

👥 Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage and mentor 1-3 direct reports , fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external agencies .
  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, customer service, and operations teams .

Who You Are

✅ 3-6 years of experience in eCommerce and digital marketing with a strong understanding of full-funnel marketing strategies.

✅ Hands-on experience with Shopify Plus (Magento is a plus!).

✅ Experience managing paid media agencies & overseeing performance marketing.

✅ Proficiency in Excel and analytics tools like GA4, Microsoft Clarity, & A/B testing platforms.

✅ Experience working with Klaviyo, Attentive, and other email/SMS platforms.

✅ Passionate about branding, storytelling, and delivering top-tier digital experiences.

✅ Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.

✅ Ability to manage multiple projects, balancing short-term execution & long-term growth.

✅ Leadership experience, including managing teams & external partners.
