Job Description
Employing working knowledge of current technologies, and working as part of the training team,
the Instructional Designer is responsible for creating and developing engaging learning materials, including courses and curriculum, by collaborating with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories, and utilizing multimedia tools to design effective learning experiences across various platforms, with a focus on online learning environments. Key tasks include assessing learning needs, designing assessments, developing interactive activities, and assisting in the evaluation of the training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or closely related field
- Two years of professional experience in instructional design.
- Visual/graphic design skills with experience in applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and Illustrator.
- Experience in creating and/or editing recorded video and audio content.
- Knowledge of current and emerging learning methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with authoring and course development tools, such as Articulate 360 and Camtasia.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience working as part of a team, particularly Subject Matter Experts.
Summary
Status: Temporary
Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week, flexible. Must be available to work in consultation with the E-Learning Developer 8-noon, M-F. Estimated job duration: 3-6 months.
Hourly Wage: $33-$38 (DOQ)
Worksite Location: Onsite or Virtual Office
