We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Graphical User Interface (GUI) Programmer IV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role involves reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support a graphical user interface for products and programs. The job function also requires gathering requirements, creating specifications, and developing code.


Responsibilities:


• Develop and modify programming systems to support a graphical user interface for various products and programs.

• Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of the programming systems.

• Carry out encoding, testing, debugging, and installation tasks.

• Gather necessary requirements and create accurate specifications.

• Craft efficient code to support existing applications.

• Utilize knowledge of practices and procedures within the field, i.e., C, C language programming, XMotif programming interfaces, and GUI API packages.

• Follow specific instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the job functions.

• Liaise with the project leader or manager as required.

• Perform tasks under supervision, without the need for exercising independent judgment.

• Proficiency in procedures related to GUI programming
• Experience in supervising and leading a team
• Knowledge of best practices in GUI programming
• Ability to write clear and detailed specifications
• Strong background in programming languages, particularly R Code and C++
• Understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) principles
• Experience in API Development
• Familiarity with Assertion Markup Language
• Skill in debugging applications
• Experience in designing and developing interfaces
• Proficiency in Typescript
• Deep understanding of GUI - Graphical User Interface principles
• Experience in working with existing applications
• Ability to exercise independent judgment
• Knowledge of encoding techniques
• Experience with AB Testing methodologies
• Familiarity with the technical requirements of a GUI Programmer IV role.
