Summary: Leads the development and implementation of recommendations for strategic shifts that lead to significant improvements in profitability and attractive returns on investment. To enable accurate strategic decision making, the Manager supports in conducting advanced statistical analysis by collecting and using a comprehensive set of data that explains all potential business drivers including: external factors such as the economy, retail trends and competitor activity as well as internal factors such as product assortment, pricing, staffing and marketing. Pay Class: Remote, Full Time Pay: $110,541.41 - $ 147,387.48 Essential Responsibilities: Defines analytical standards recurring business questions. Strategically partners with Business Leaders of Visionworks by leveraging new analytics and insights to challenge and influence business leaders. Behaves as a thought-provoker interacting in across the company and helps create a strong culture of fact-based management. Analyzes data and builds statistical models to optimize profits: typically in the following areas: Traffic/conversion models, marketing mix models, pricing, staffing, assortment optimization, store operations/labor. Develops effective presentations concerning complex ideas that can be communicated in a simple and straight forward manner. May influence senior management decision making on crucial decisions facing the company. Develops analytic skills and stays ahead of innovation and trends in the field of Business Intelligence & Analytics and recommends best practices. Works to ensure the integration of accurate and complete data sources across the retail brand organization. Manages the daily activities of the team responsible for identifying business trends and problems through big data analysis. Oversees the interpretation of results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Manages the design and implementation of big data solutions for the organization requiring extensive knowledge of big data tools. Manages staff in the day-to-day performance as first-level manager, ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met, adheres to approved budgets, has full authority for personnel actions.

Education: Bachelor's degree in highly analytical and quantitative areas such as: Business, Finance, Strategy, Economics, Statistics, or related field MBA or Master's degree in highly analytical and quantitative areas such as: Business, Finance, Strategy, Economics, Statistics, or related field preferred

Experience & Background: Three (3) to Five (5) years or relevant experience required 1 - 3 years supervisory experience preferred Proven ability to build relationships and influence senior executive Technical Software Expertise: knowledge of statistical packages (R), financial modeling (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint) Systems implementation experience

Language Skills: Strong Communication Skills: ability to clearly convey very complex ideas in simple easy to understand ways - both in writing and verbally Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization

Mathematical Skills: Best in class statistical skills needed in all areas relevant to business decision making

Reasoning Ability: Best in class analytical and critical thinking skills

Ability to think logically Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness
