Position Announcement Utah Valley University's e2i program connects students with real-world industry projects
while providing paid, hands-on experience. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will
collaborate with peers and industry partners to develop solutions that meet professional
standards. The UI/UX Designer will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to create user-centered
digital experiences for real-world projects. This position is ideal for students studying
UI/UX design, digital media, web design, interaction design, or a related field. The designer
will collaborate with developers, project managers, and marketing team members to ensure intuitive, functional, and visually appealing interfaces. Summary of Responsibilities
Design user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications. Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups. Conduct user research and usability testing. Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility. Optimize designs based on feedback and data-driven insights. Maintain consistency in branding and design systems. Present design concepts to project teams and stakeholders. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Must be a current UVU student in good academic standing. Available 5-10 hours per week. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UI/UX design principles, wireframing, and prototyping. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar. Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts (preferred but not required). Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to create accessible, user-friendly designs. Ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and iterate on feedback. Strong collaboration with students from other disciplines.
