Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceSummary:Operates specialized ophthalmic equipment at a novice level (assessed by unit). Performs ophthalmic imaging procedures at a novice level (assessed by unit).Responsibilities:Under direct supervision of an eye care provider, assists with performing patient care and patient flow.Under direct supervision of an eye care provider: Performs diagnostic imaging and testing. Administers intravenous agents in preparation for retinal angiography. Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.Provides documentation, patient education and enters charges.Performs clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED.Required Licensure/Certification: Ophthalmic Scribe Certification (OSC) within 30 days of hire or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification. Completion of the Ophthalmic Assistant Home Study Course within 1 year of hire (tracked by unit) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Certification.
