Are you passionate about transforming complex security challenges into intuitive, user-centric experiences? Do you thrive in designing seamless workflows that streamline experiences at scale? The Amazon Security Foundations team is seeking a Senior UX Designer to help drive the next generation of security management tools and services.

In this role, you’ll play a key part in unifying and simplifying how security is managed across Amazon, working with a small UX team to contribute to a North Star vision for a more cohesive and efficient security ecosystem. You’ll help design end-to-end experiences that integrate critical security workflows, ensuring users can effortlessly manage access, enforce security policies, and navigate security-related decision-making with clarity and confidence.

You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, product managers, and developers, to create scalable, user-centered solutions. Your work will focus on improving usability, eliminating friction in security workflows, and ensuring security practices are both effective and accessible. You'll also identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes, aligning with lifecycle thinking and scalable design principles to support long-term security goals.

As a Senior UX Designer, you’ll drive the end-to-end strategy, design, and development of intuitive security experiences, defining problems, aligning around customer needs, building workflows, prototyping solutions, and delivering highly usable, scalable designs. This role offers the opportunity to reshape security management at Amazon, simplifying how security is applied and adopted across the organization while contributing to a unified, long-term vision for security tooling.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of design experience

Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

Have an available online portfolio

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
