Communication Equipment Installer

Description SAIC is seeking an Communication Equipment Installer for our customer site in North Charleston, SC to support the US Navy to install cable, mounting kits and other equipment in radio rooms of new construction submarines.JOB DESCRIPTION: Work with others who prepare design drawings and assist with the design, evaluation, and/or modification of machinery and equipmentResearch, design, develop, and test installation of new equipmentIntegrate and fabricate cablesQualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Associate degree in engineering technology, or formal electronics training from: Technical School, Class A or B Military school in electronics or communications; or four year electronics apprentice program and ten (10) years of experience Must have four (4) years of C4ISR OR C5ISR experience in the last eight (8) years Must have appropriate experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, or repair of digital computers computer peripheral/ interface equipment, VME based systems, digital, switches, radio frequency transmitters, receivers, antennas, and modemsREQUIRED CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; Interim Secret required prior to hire, SAIC will help to obtainMust be a U.S. CitizenSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
