Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audiovisual (AV) Engineer to join our team. As an AV Engineer, you will play a central role in setting up, configuring, and maintaining AV systems such as cameras, lighting, microphones, and control systems for broadcasts and communications. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that AV hardware and software are prepared and optimized to meet the needs of our organization. You will also be responsible for operating the master controls of AV systems during events, conducting maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing new technologies into AV setups through cabling and wiring.
Responsibilities:
• Set up, configure, and maintain AV systems including cameras, lighting, microphones, control systems, and other equipment for broadcasts and communications.
• Ensure that AV hardware and software are prepared and optimized to meet the specific needs of the organization.
• Operate master controls and oversee AV systems during events, ensuring seamless operation and addressing any technical issues that may arise.
• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and testing of AV equipment to ensure proper functioning and quality performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, identify root causes, and implement timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
• Install, terminate, and test cabling and wiring to integrate new technologies and equipment into AV setups.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement AV solutions that align with project requirements and technical specifications.
• Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the AV industry to recommend improvements and advancements in our AV systems.
• Document AV system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for future reference.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Competence with video conference and broadcasting systems
• Proven work experience as an AV Engineer or a similar role, demonstrating expertise in AV system setup, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proficient knowledge of AV hardware and software, including cameras, lighting systems, microphones, control systems, and signal processing equipment.
• Expertise in processing control, routing, and audio video signal flow with broadcast software.
• Experience in operating master controls of AV systems during events and managing technical aspects of live broadcasts or presentations.
• Skilled in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing effective solutions.
• Familiarity with cabling and wiring standards and practices for integrating AV technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders effectively.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and industry trends.
