Tiello has partnered with a Audio-Visual Integrator in the commercial space located in the Philadelphia market.

We are currently looking to hire an AV Systems Design Specialist to help expand the operations.

Job Title: AV Systems Design Specialist

Project Types: Commercial, Healthcare, Office Buildings, Industrial Buildings, Mixed-Use, Retail, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering and sales teams in developing technical solutions that align with customer needs.
  • Communicate with commercial clients to understand their AV requirements and budget considerations.
  • Create fully functional AV system designs based on construction plans or site assessments.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and industry partners to ensure proper integration of solutions.
  • Review and interpret RFPs, technical drawings, bid documents, and IT project specifications.
  • Take a structured approach to tasks with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.
  • Continuously develop expertise in AV solutions, with additional knowledge of electrical constraints being a plus.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality work under pressure.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Strong understanding of programming and commissioning for controlled AV solutions.
  • Experience working with AV manufacturers and equipment, including but not limited to Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Atlona, Shure, Atlas, Poly, and Cisco.
  • Ability to define project requirements, gather data, analyze information, and draw logical conclusions.
  • Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions presented in mathematical or diagram formats.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Word and Excel.
  • Certifications such as CTS-D/I, Crestron, Biamp, Extron, Atlona, Shure, Atlas, Poly, and Cisco are a plus but not mandatory.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting standard technical publications.
  • Skilled at delivering technical information clearly to potential clients, existing customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Experience in technical and proposal writing is an advantage, with a good grasp of creating professional, client-facing documents.
