The Intersect Group is hiring: Cybersecurity Technical Writer in Phoenix

Duration: 12-month contract with the possibility to extend

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, policies, standards, standard operating procedures, and other security content to include software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation.
• Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality.
• Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet release and deliverable dates.
• Develop and execute Cyber Strategy document writing and dissemination.
• Maintain ISPO website and ensure content is up to date and refreshed regularly.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of technical writing experience.
• 1-3 years in the information security field.
• 3 years’ experience writing information technology policies, standards, and standard operating procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, electronic systems engineering or relevant experience in a related technical field.
• Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Preferred:

• NIST, CIS, PCI DSS framework knowledge.
• 5-10 years of experience with advanced Microsoft tools including Project Web Application, Power BI, and SharePoint.
• Security + or other leading nationally recognized information security certifications.
