Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer

Department: Capital Campaign

Reports To: Director of Graphic Design

FLSA Status: Exempt


Goal:

Objectives:

The Junior Graphic Designer will work directly with the Director of Graphic Design to achieve cohesion in aesthetic design and branding for TPAC and TPAC’s Capital Campaign. This includes print and electronic projects, graphics for capital campaign events, social media platforms, and other digital communications. The Junior Graphic Designer will also provide design support for the annual fund membership programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute and produce compelling creative for a variety of print and digital applications in support of the capital and Be Bold. Build TPAC. Capital Campaign, all inspired by TPAC’s brand identity standards.
  • Work collaboratively with Capital Campaign department to ideate and generate multiple design solutions for consideration and review by the VP of Capital Campaign and the President/CEO.
  • Update and/or create presentation deck templates for complex and confidential solicitations.
  • Manage the design and production process from start to finish for each assigned design project, including participation in intake meetings, project management, securing estimates, and production supervision.
  • Design and produce print and digital materials to support TPAC’s annual membership fundraising, as needed. Manage mail house process for assigned direct mail efforts.

The above-mentioned duties are not all inclusive. This position is expected to perform other work-related duties as assigned even though they may not be considered primary duties.

Skills & Knowledge:

Required:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience as a graphic designer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to understand and implement established brand guidelines and visual identities across print and digital applications.
  • Exceptional typographic and layout skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with close attention to detail and timelines.
  • The ability to move seamlessly from project to project and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative work style, with strong relationships and communication skills.
  • Adept at making various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and demonstrate flexibility to resolve any artwork issues that arise during production.
  • Ability to provide image retouching and additional image manipulation for various needs.
  • Experience editing video content.
  • Ability to stay up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques, and software.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus.
  • Motion graphics experience a plus.
  • Experience with freehand illustration a plus.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and animation a plus.
