Job Title: Event Services Audio-Visual (AV) TechnicianReports to: A/V ManagerDepartment: A/V Location: Union League Liberty Hill (800 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444)Description:As part of the Event Services Team an Audio-Visual (AV) Technician, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of audio-visual equipment and appropriate setup of meeting rooms, equipment, and furnishings. This multifaceted position requires technical expertise, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.Position Type: Full-time (Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays)Responsibilities:Audio-Visual Support:•Set up, operate, and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, screens, lighting systems, and other computer related equipment.•Coordinate with Private Event Managers to understand technical requirements and provide tailored AV solutions.•Conduct pre-event testing and ensure all AV equipment is functioning properly during events.•Assist presenters and performers with audio-visual needs during rehearsals and live performances.Houseman Support:•Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including furniture arrangement, decoration, and signage placement.•Collaborate with other staff members to execute event plans and address any last-minute changes or requests.•Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the cleanliness and functionality of event spaces and equipment storage areas.•Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel for resolution.•Conducts monthly inventory of all supplies, equipment, and furnishings in accordance with company procedures. Maintains appropriate levels of guest supplies.Customer Service:•Provide friendly and professional assistance to members, guests, and event attendees, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.•Foster positive relationships with members, clients and vendors through effective communication and exemplary service delivery.•Assumes other duties as assigned by Liberty Hill management.•Acts in a professional manner, in accordance to our Standard Operating Procedures and the League handbook.Skills and Requirements:•Proven experience in audio-visual support, preferably in a hospitality, events, or entertainment setting.•Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, projectors, and lighting fixtures.•Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented approach to service delivery.•Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.•Physical stamina and dexterity to lift and move equipment, set up event spaces, and perform manual tasks as needed.•Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to audio-visual equipment and event management is a plus.Compensation:•Fair wages and safe working environment•Employee meals•Energetic, multi-faceted, team-oriented work atmosphere•Exposure to a national market•Opportunities of promotion from within•Educational funding for employees and Scholarship opportunities for employee children and grandchildren•Uniforms (for uniformed employees)•Two weeks' vacation after one year (for full-time employees)•401k retirement plan with employer match of up to 6% once required hours are met (for full-time and part-time employees)•Choice of three Blue Cross health plan products (for full-time employees)•Dental insurance (for full-time employees)•Employer paid life insurance and disability program (for full-time employees)
