JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Library Director and Law Library Board's guidance, this 40-hour professional role manages the law library, develops the adult print collection for the public branches, as well as assists attorneys, staff, and pro se litigants. Responsibilities include coordinating law library operations, providing reference and reader's advisory services, and serving as librarian-in-charge when needed. Primarily based at the Law Library and Chanhassen Library, with some telecommuting options.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide legal research assistance, reference services, and resource training while managing the law library's collection.

• Assist self-represented litigants with legal resources and court procedures.
• Develop the public print collection for adults.
• Manages a collection budget
• Provides oversight to the law library budget.
• Provides direct customer service to library customers of all ages.
• Routinely serves as librarian-in-charge of a library branch in the absence of branch manager
• Performs other duties of a comparable level or similar nature.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor's Degree in Library or Information Science or related field and three (3) years of library experience
or
•Master's Degree in Library or Information Science or related field
