What's a typical day as a Library Learning Resources Technician? You'll be:
- Performing clerical and technical duties to support the functions of the college libraries
- Searching, inputting, and updating online records including bibliographic, patron, reserve, and interlibrary loan records
- Assisting with integrated library system (ILS) record maintenance and verifying interlibrary loan requests
- Maintaining accurate files and statistics for interlibrary loans and assisting library faculty in answering user questions
- Handling circulation, interlibrary loan, and reserve desk services for on-campus and remote users
- Providing clerical support, including ordering supplies, tracking equipment problems, and scheduling services
- Training and directing college student personnel with appropriate approval
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have an Associate Degree or higher in Library Science, or any Associate degree with 16 college credit hours in Library Science
- Possess computer keyboard proficiency: 35 wpm
- Are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a library setting
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills
