Director of Marketing

The Opportunity: The Director of Marketing is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of an organization’s marketing strategy. This role is integral in driving brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth through strategic marketing campaigns across multiple channels. The Director of Marketing will manage a team, work with outside resources, work cross-functionally with other departments, and ensure alignment of marketing efforts with overall business objectives.

What You’ll Do:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with company goals, OKRs and drives brand recognition, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
  • Lead market research initiatives to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering an innovative and results-oriented culture.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and professional development to direct reports, ensuring the team is well-equipped to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Provide and lead outside resources to ensure continuity in brand and message.

Campaign Management:

  • Oversee the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, social, email, and traditional media.
  • Measure the performance of campaigns, using analytics to optimize and refine strategies for improved ROI.

Brand Strategy:

  • Strengthen and maintain the company’s brand identity and messaging across all marketing channels.
  • Ensure consistency in brand voice, style, and design across all customer touchpoints.

Budget & Resource Allocation:

  • Manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize the impact of campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on marketing spending to ensure the team stays within budget while meeting objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with sales, product, and customer service teams to ensure marketing initiatives support business objectives and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors when necessary to execute campaigns.

Digital Marketing & Innovation:

  • Leverage digital channels (social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, etc.) to enhance customer engagement and drive lead generation.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest marketing technologies and trends to incorporate innovative strategies.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior leadership on marketing performance.
  • Use data to identify opportunities for improvement and drive continuous growth.

Public Relations & Media Outreach:

  • Manage relationships with the media, including press releases, interviews, and other external communications.
  • Elevate the company’s public image through strategic PR efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing channels, strategies, and analytics tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies and campaigns. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day tactical execution.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation tools and CRM systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in B2B business practices with an emphasis on ecommerce.
  • Proficiency with marketing software (Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of SEO/SEM, content marketing, and social media platforms.
