The Associate Media Director - Digital Investment (Programmatic) is responsible for the strategy, successful implementation, and day-to-day management of programmatic campaigns for a large American supermarket chain. This role leads clients in strategic programmatic conversations and serves as a key liaison in integrating programmatic into the overarching media investment strategy.
You'll lead and mentor a dynamic team, providing expert guidance in programmatic platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute enterprise-level initiatives that drive meaningful business impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with media planning leadership to develop overall client strategy as it relates to programmatic media, data, and audience strategy.
- Develop and manage audience segmentation and media testing roadmaps across
programmatic channels. - Drive continuous innovation by exploring emerging programmatic trends, testing new strategies, and optimizing performance.
- Provide strategic guidance to the broader media team and digital buyers to ensure flawless programmatic campaign execution.
- Develop and conduct media partner RFPs and partner evaluation scorecards for
programmatic vendors. - Develop client POVs on strategies and approaches to the ongoing changes in the
programmatic landscape. - Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that encourages growth and innovation.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client business, from both current and historical perspectives.
- Works collaboratively across departments (media planning, strategy, comms planning, analytics, etc.) to develop the strategic design for innovative media plans
- Fosters strong agency-vendor relations to develop comprehensive media plans that accomplish client goals
- Maintains overall control of work-flow and assigned team responsibilities within the group -- oversees the progress of all projects
- Stimulates team productivity and growth by allocation of assignments that combine to make productive and effective use of each person's skills, as well as motivating their interests and challenging their minds
- 5-7 years experience in a programmatic media activation capacity
- 2+ years of management experience
- Experience in strategy and execution of programmatic campaigns.
- Experience in the execution of self-serve programmatic media buying and leading a team of digital buyers required
- Experience in data strategy and usage of a Data Management Platform is preferred.
- Certification and/or a high degree of technical aptitude in primary DSPs such as DV360, Google Ads, Amobee, The Trade Desk, etc. in a self-serve/hands-on keyboard capacity.
- Certification and/or significant experience in media measurement tools, such as Campaign Manager, Datorama, and Google Analytics 360.
- High level of comfort presenting to client and agency leadership.
- Proven ability to manage team projects from ideation to execution.
- Excellent organization and time management; ability to prioritize workload for the team and multi-task
- Strong attention to detail and ability to dig into data while understanding important initiatives and priorities
